A Warp Beast Pack with a Beastmaster.

Warp Beasts are daemons from the warp that have been tamed by the Dark Eldar to wreak havoc and destruction among enemy territories and civilisations. They are ferocious in close combat. It is for this reason that you could say that no Dark Eldar army is complete without these chaotic beasts.

[1] Squad:

  • The squad consists of a Beastmaster and 3-5 Warp Beasts

Weapons:

  • The Beastmaster is equipped with an Agoniser and a Splinter Pistol. The Warp Beasts are weapons on their own.

Warp Beasts are summoned from the Hall of Blood barracks. Reinforcing them brings the maximum squad number up to 6, and the addition of a Beastmaster brings the squad number up to a grand total of 7. While the Warp Beasts have no special abilities (other than their incredible speed), the Beastmaster has an ability that allows her to restore the morale of her squad. This ability is vital since the Warp Beasts go out of control when they lose morale.

When they lose control, they do not obey the player, and no additional units can be added to that squad in particular. This is why Warp Beasts work so well with Wych squads; the Wyches have an ability named Combat Drugs which grants all squads within the vicinity of Wyches morale immunity, and a morale boost.

Warp Beasts require the Planetary Strike Add-on for the Kabal Fortress to be summoned.
