Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine is a third-person shooter under development by THQ. It is speculated to be released some time in 2010, and is part of the 40,000 era series. It is to be released on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 rather than making a port for the PC, much to the dismay of many Warhammer 40k fans. However, Relic has stated that they do not plan to drop PC games as a whole by ANY means (with new Dawn of War games on the way), and only dropped the PC port idea due to difficulties with controls, and generally expanding the franchise further. By making Warhammer 40k games available on consoles, they hope to make the franchise more accessible, similar to the case of Mark of Chaos.
More speculation is that since Warhammer 40,000: Fire Warrior was a failure on the PC, Relic decided against another game similar to it.
 E3 2009 conference
A trailer was shown at the E3 2009 conference, and a news article detailing the presentation can be viewed here.
Little is known about the game's story as of yet, although the trailer and poster shows that the game will be based on the Ultramarines (as are most games based around the Space Marines) and will likely be about the conquering of yet another planet under Ork and Chaos control (most likely the Word Bearers, their most common enemies). There may also be an appearance from the mutant Tyranids.
