Warhammer 40,000: Fire Warrior
Fire Warrior is a first-person shooting game set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. The game mainly involves the Tau Empire race throughout, as is implied by the title; the story follows Fire Warrior in-training, Kais, as he tries to rescue his leader from the aggresive hands of the Imperium of Man and the forces of Chaos.
Fire Warrior was one of the first games available for PlayStation 2 that supported 8 player games using broadband adaptors. It was also available on the PC. Unlike many of the other Warhammer games which have come out since, Fire Warrior was met with little fanfare and even less praise, and did not spawn any sequels post-release. The PC game was met with even worse praise than the PS2 version.
 Time Frame
Warhammer 40,000: Fire Warrior is a game set in the distant future, like the other games in the 40,000 series, the number representing the number of years it is in the future in comparison to it's normal Warhammer cousins.
Fire Warrior was a first person shooter, in which you fought for the Tau forces. While it shared several features with Halo, such as it's futuristic setting and items such as shields, the game also had many differences, such as the ability to only carry two weapons at the same time. Also, of key importance, was praise for it's above average AI scripting, which, like many of the different FPS' of the time, had definitive issues.
